On November 10, 2014, Instagram released iOS version 6.2 to the App Store and Android version 6.10 to theGoogle Play Store with new ways to edit locations and captions, search users and hashtags and find people to follow.
«…the Explore icon at the bottom of your screen has changed to a magnifying glass. When you open Explore, you’ll now see two tabs: Photos and People. The Photos tab has not changed». We’ve added the ability to go back and edit captions on your posts. When you share a moment to Instagram, a typo shouldn’t get in the way. This has been one of the top requests that we’ve heard from the community, and we’re excited to finally bring it to you today. You’ll find a new “Edit” option in the menu beneath your image.

El servicio ahora permite correr el epígrafe que acompaña una imagen. asta ahora no era posible corregir esos epígrafes, algo que, según explican en el blog oficial, queda habilitado con la versión 6.1 para Android o 6.2 para iOS.
La aplicación suma también una nueva opción a Explorar, a la herramienta usada para encontrar fotos nuevas; Instagram ahora también recomienda usuarios, al estilo de lo que hace Twitter.
