Nominations today open for this year’s Social Brands 100. Brands have until February 10th to have their name put forward for the chance to be included in what will be an authoritative report ranking those brands that are succeeding in the social age.
First launched by social brand agency Headstream in 2011, last year’s report put Dell, Nike, Starbucks, giffgaff, and Best Buy UK at the top. With such a busy year in social media behind us there are bound to be changes this time around.
This year’s report is due to be published in May and nominations are being crowdsourced through the @SocialBrands100 Twitter account. To nominate any brand you simply send a tweet to @SocialBrands100 with the brand name, and the hashtag #sb100.
The Social Brands 100 measures genuine engagement based on an in-depth study of a brand’s content and behaviour on social platforms. The data analytics behind the report are powered by monitoring firm Brandwatch and the ranking is being supported by your very own Brand Republic and The Wall as exclusive media partner.
2011 Social Brands 100 Top 10:
Steve Sponder, Head of Agency, at Headstream, said: “Getting listed in the Social Brands 100 is a great way to show the world how your brand is performing in social, or to give recognition to a brand you think is doing it right. We look forward to revealing the best 100 social brand performers in May, and adding to the conversation about what makes a brand social.”
