Last month at Chirp, Twitter’s Developer Conference, the social networking company revealed that they have now surpassed 100 million users; 105,779,710 to be exact. On top of that, they get about 300,000 new users each day, receives 180 million unique visitors a month, and 75% of traffic comes from outside of the Twitter website.
Twellow Developer, Matthew Daines shared the latest numbers for Twitter – for the month of April. On last month alone, the number of total tweets soared above 1.7 billion; a 10.6% increase over the month of March. New registrations rose to 10.5 million, or 6.75% over March.
“I’ve adjusted the new user registrations graph for this month to reflect the approximately 20% of disabled or suspended accounts on Twitter,” explains Daines. “Total actual Twitter IDs in the Twitter system was almost 139 million, so the 112 million reflects my 20% estimate.”
He added, “I’ve taken into account the suspended accounts also on the tweets per user graph, so Twitter appears to have run at about 15.7 tweets per user for the month.”
