If you are one of many millions of people publishing your blog using the popular Open Source WordPress content management system and own an iPhone or iPad, you might be interested in the latest update for WordPress for iOS.

Introducing Version 2.6

This latest update provides:

– ability to record video within the app and then upload it directly to a blog
– a safer way to save blog posts locally before they are published or saved online
– autosave draft feature
– better Add Blog/Site Setup process
– more information provided in media library

There is one thing you should be aware of before updating WordPress for iOS on your iPhone or iPad. Automattic reports that:

Some users are reporting an error message related to login information after installing this update. If you get an error message related to your username and password but are sure your information is correct, please remove the app from your iOS device and do a clean install. Be sure to convert any Local Drafts to online posts before removing the app. We apologize for any inconvenience this might cause. We are working on a 2.6.1 bugfix release to be submitted soon.
